THE AYFORD BROTHERS

These two brothers, Feargus and Rowan, have been performing together exclusively since 2003 at numerous events. Their true strength lies in their ability to make one sound and to sing in perfect harmony. The fact that they are brothers and share common interests, helps them find each other in the songs that they do. They sing across genres, but they try to focus on what boosts their individual styles. Rowan is more of a entertainer, while Feargus is considered to be a more classical/clinical performer. Together they offer something special and unique, a coming together of brothers sharing their gifts with one another and also those who they perform for.

They have a mutual respect and understanding for each other and that also contributes to the unique sound they make together.

Working together is what makes a success of them, because that is where their true strength lies, along with the support of their family, who has been there throughout their lives.
Musical Careers

Rowan started music lessons at the age of 8 years, focussing on piano and recorder. He sang in an array of choirs throughout his school carreer, but started with singing lessons in grade 9 (aged 14) at the Anchen Schreuder Academy of Music. He has competed in numerous singing competitions and has won various awards during that time.

Feargus started his singing career at the tender age of 6 years by singing with his father who accompanied him with his guitar. Throughout his formative years he sang in choirs and also individually. He started taking singing lessons at the age of 15 and during that time contested in a lot of competitions and won numerous awards. He also had classical training for three years when he went to varsity.

Between the two of them they have shared stages with a wide range of performers such as Kevin Leo, The Bala Brothers, Brandon October, Heinz Winkler and various respected artists. They performed on numerous occasions to great effect. Their father Freddie, who is in the Ministry, and mother, Rhona, has influenced his music career and has always supported him in his quest to find his path. They are part of a family of 5 where Rowan (the youngest), Feargus  and the Eldest Daverin, who occasionally joins them on stage.

Music is their true passion in life.
